Backpack Program
Backpack Program
No child should have to wonder where their next meal will come from. That’s why our club runs the Backpack Program—a local effort to provide children and families in need with easy-to-prepare food they can count on.
Each week during the school year, students receive a backpack filled with simple, nutritious food to take home for the weekend. These meals help fill the gap when school lunches aren’t available, giving kids the energy they need to learn, grow, and thrive.
How It Works
-
Weekend Support – Students take home a bag of kid-friendly, shelf-stable foods.
-
Holiday Assistance – Around major holidays, we provide vouchers for fresh food items such as meat, milk, eggs, and other essentials to help families celebrate together.
-
Community-Driven – The program is funded and supported by local donations, volunteers, and partnerships with area schools.
Why It Matters
For many children, school meals may be their most reliable source of nutrition. The Backpack Program ensures that hunger doesn’t stand in the way of their health, happiness, or success in the classroom
